Gendered

Waiting at the local medical practice to see my GP. Well, actually, not my GP, but a female doctor in the same practice as him. My husband thought it would be better if I see a woman for my “lady’s problems”. Seems weird to me. Don’t they teach that stuff to male GPs too? I honestly don’t mind who I see. It must be fairly tedious to be a female GP and have to look at women’s bits all day. Mind you, I imagine the vast majority of men who go to the GP for prostate check ups go to a man, so swings and roundabouts I guess. Once again grateful to have specialized in anaesthesia.
