Just back from a lovely dinner out with friends, a treat on a Monday night. The only downside (apart from me now feeling horribly full) was the people at the next table. There were three men, two younger ones and one older man who spent the entire evening coughing and spluttering and sneezing and blowing his nose. I can’t conceive of any reason that would make his eating out in public in that state acceptable, in these COVID times. I suppose maybe he’s just got terminal lung cancer and is taking his two sons out for a last meal, but that seems unlikely. He did have a heavy Australian accent, so maybe he’s just a self entitled asshole? Not cool, in any event.
