Heh

The assistant I have working with me today is very experienced and pleasant enough but she has the most irritating snigger that I just can’t bear. If I was a nicer person I would call it a chuckle or even a giggle, but that just wouldn’t convey how deeply irritating I find it. Of course I should be pleased for her that she’s happy – unless it’s some sort of nervous tick? That would make me feel bad, to be annoyed by something she can’t help. But no, I’m sure she’s just a jolly person, so I just have to grit my teeth and endure.
