Air New Zealand – WTF??

I understand COVID 19 has been disastrous for your business, but honestly, you need to look after the customers you still have! My daughter booked a flight to Dunedin weeks ago. Air NZ randomly changed her flight to an earlier day, and she’s been unable to get them to change it back. The original flight is still going, there’s no problem about that. It’s totally weird. When you try and change it back online, it looks like it’s all going to work right up until the last page, but when you click “confirm” it says you can’t change it online and you have to ring them. She spent two hours on hold when she tried to ring them last week, and someone finally answered, but only to say they couldn’t change it, but someone would be ringing back within the next four days to sort it out. They never did. When she tried to ring today, they wouldn’t even put her on hold. Really atrocious customer care. It’s not like we’re even asking them for our money back. Why don’t they put some of these people they’ve fired onto answering the phone? I guess they know the government is going to bail them out so they don’t need to look after the punters, just like some sort of 1970’s government department. The 70’s – an era of kaftans, walk shorts, and a bloated civil service.
One star out of five, and that’s just for old times sake. Would not use again if we had any other options!
