Guest post: Traversing Tinder

With thanks to my daughter – the cheque’s in the post, sweetie.

It was approximately 4 days into quarantine upon where I had become bored beyond measure. It took a solid 4 weeks more for me to become desperate enough for entertainment to join tinder. After kicking my sister off her own account in a takeover scheme that Caesar would be proud of (not the salad), my adventure began.
I had my setting set to see both men and women before shortly realizing the mistake – and corrected to see only ladies (sorry boys).
Before switching to girls only, as all should be, I matched with a young film student who shared a similar interest with me in Hammer Horror films. After swiping and chatting for a couple of days, this kind young man had the honour of explaining to me that I had also managed to match with one of his (female) flatmates. Ecstatic to have 2 in one flat, I continued my journey – only to match with the third flatmate. After all agreeing to participate in a horror movie marathon, I finally matched with the 4th and final flatmate. I had won the game of bingo no-one asked me to play.
Needless to say, it’s handy to have all your potential suitors in one easy place for ease of access – and I’ll keep you all updated on how my horror movie date goes with my four flatting dates.
Update: Have agreed to be the flat-wife – looking forward to joint wedding like in Tiger King and 4 people to clean up after me.
