Sausage surprise for the dogs for breakfast this morning. Surprise for two reasons: 1) it was 6am in the morning because I had to go to work; and 2) I had to fish the slurry out of the insinkerator where one of my daughters must have just dumped it after a misguided attempt at a midnight snack consisting of precooked sausages and large amounts of grated cheese, from what I could make out. Luckily the pooches were not put off by the assorted debris from the sink that would have added a certain je ne sais quoi to their meal – coffee grinds, mandarin peel, feijoa remnants, etc. It still makes a pleasant change from dog biscuits.
