I know that with the world wide lockdown, wild animals are returning to areas they haven’t been seen in many years – mountain goats in Welsh villages, deer in American small towns, dolphins in Venice (or was that fake news? I can’t remember).
In our house I can hear the resurgent wildlife at night, chewing away at vital structures inside the walls. It’s disturbing. Also disturbing is this little fellow that appeared in my daughter’s room. She’s a fan of insects in general, but will make an exception for spiders, which she hates in a primordial fashion.
Does anyone know what type of arachnid this is? In the meantime I’m going with the “Fuck the lockdown – I’m leaving” spider.
