Traffic

Almost doored by some plonker while I was cycling to work this morning. Would have been quite a feat to be hit by a car today considering how little traffic there is around.
The motorist had pulled over suddenly and parked his car on the yellow lines of the motorway overbridge near our house. No doubt he was looking for a dramatic photo of the empty motorway, and considering the vigour with which he flung open his door, he was keen to get onto it.
Apart from that incident, it was a relatively uneventful commute. Disappointed but not surprised that my normal route through the Basin Reserve was closed. The best part of my trip was finding my old friend, the angry man in silver BMW, stuck behind me again for 100m along Kent Terrace. I wonder what essential work he does? Or was he just racing to the supermarket to stock up on toilet paper for the fifth time? Can’t be too careful…
