So, the police managed to get a search warrant for the vendor who was selling jewellery stolen from my house last year. Unfortunately they didn’t find any more of my stuff but they did find some drug paraphernalia, suggesting that the fencing was to pay for a drug habit. But I’m not going to feel sorry for them!
The next step is getting trade me to stop their account (trade me are being terrifically helpful, apparently), and also a tip off to IRD, assuming none of this income is declared. So maybe they’ll go down on tax evasion charges, just like Al Capone. There’s a slim chance I may be asked to front up in court which would scare the bejesus out of me, due to fear of retribution. Then I might need to seriously consider skipping the country – if there are any planes still flying, of course.
