No, I’m not talking about the Hyundai – although actually what is it with the popularity of SUVs at the moment?? You can’t tell me they’re all going off-road…and they handle like pigs… OK maybe I’ll use another photo:
There, that’s better – and no distractions. What you can see here are pohutukawa flowers that have fallen off the tree and are on the ground (or, if you’re my daughter’s boyfriend, it’s just a green tree).*This signifies that the festive season is over. We’ve had a terrific show of pohutukawa flowers in the Wellington region this year, actually. It’s meant to signify a long, hot summer. Well, it better get started soon or we’ll run out of time! (With the proviso, of course, that we’d always take whatever rubbish weather we get over Australia’s flames, anytime).
