Very disappointed to discover recently that the smallpox vaccination that I got aged seven when we moved back to New Zealand would have entirely lost it’s effectiveness by now. I had always considered this my secret weapon for when the terrorist bio attacks eventually came. I think my seven year old self would consider this bitterly unfair (although I’m sure a lollipop would ease the hurt).
