Utopia

I always thought that human civilization would steadily progress in my lifetime, with kindness, philosophical thought and scientific understanding becoming more widespread. Also, I imagine everyone wearing flowing robes in this scenario – possibly a sign of a diet too rich in science fiction as a child. However, what seems to be happening is a sliding backwards into greed, racism, self interest and flagrant ignorance. It’s terrifically disappointing.
