Strangely enough, my little temper tantrum has resulted in more thoughtful treatment. Who knew? My daughter’s application to cancel her membership has been backdated to the day she first inquired, and I just have to pay a lump sum of $22, with no reinstatement of automatic payments. I had grand plans of making daily payments of $1 with “FUcityfitness” and “shameonyou” to appear on their bank statements, but I suspect this simple resolution is all for the best. Did I read somewhere lately that putting offensive notes on automatic payments was the sort of thing that could come back and bite you one day? I’m glad in any event that I never got personally offensive to anyone who had to deal with us. It’s not their fault they have to deal with this. An entirely different situation to parking tickets from Wilsons…
