Did a case with our new interventional radiologist the other day, whom I’m going to call Natasha*. She is a pleasure to work with, and very entertaining in an Eastern European sort of way. She can speak seven languages fluently, but persists in swearing in English whenever she is mildly annoyed by anything, much to the dismay of the rest of her team. I wonder why she does that? Is it that she has to swear in whatever language she’s currently using, or are our swear words just that much better than everyone else’s?
*although her real name is Slavka. Don’t worry, I won’t give her last name away (at least partly because I don’t know how to spell it).
