Three months after my daughter’s lesbian mice arrived, Katie has discovered they are here.
She loves them, and will stare at them for hours given half a chance. They are completely unphased by the attention they get from any of the dogs, which is a much better response than that of the poor unfortunate (late, lamented, nervous) guinea pig and rabbit we had many years ago. Katie is a ratter by breeding, with lightening reflexes as far as offing rodent pests goes, so it’s really all much more civilized than it might be. The main problem is that intermittently at any hour of the day or night, Katie will remember the mice are in there and demand to be let into my daughter’s room with a series of extremely annoying and ear splitting barks, which rapidly loses it’s amusement value for everyone else in the house.
Any advice gratefully received.
