Went on a very hilly 10 k walk last night, and today I feel absolutely fine. No aching limbs, difficulty walking on stairs or anything. Not sure if this is a good or a bad thing? Good would be if I was fit and healthy, body of a twenty year old, etc; bad would be I didn’t exert my self enough, completely lacking in moral fibre, a sad excuse for a human being, that sort of thing.
I did in fact do a spectacular fall on one of our downhill legs, completely A over T, ending up sprawled flat on my back. Luckily our walking group was down to the bare minimum numbers – actually there was just me and a gyne oncologist – so the humiliation factor was fairly low. A bit of gravel rash on my hand but otherwise remarkably unscathed.

A good night. Beats going to the gym.
