The return of the scheduler

I think I made a boo boo by posting an old scheduling email twice recently. There were no complaints which leads me to believe that people enjoy them so much that they don’t mind reading them a second time. The alternative explanation – that no one is reading them at all – is too ghastly to contemplate.

Subject: next weeks schedule – another week one

Hi All,

Fantastic news this week that we have managed to wangle six new permanent specialist positions , and all have been filled with candidates that trained here with us. Awesome news. Sally has been like a cat that got the cream/ a dog with two tails/ or even ( insert your choice of happy household pet simile here ). Soon scheduling will be a doddle, and I’m looking forward to that. Also new to the department is Cindy, who is our permanent administrator/ receptionist/ desk jockey – replacing Rose who is moving upstairs where management live.  Also sadly leaving us is Oz, who is has been tempted away by the bright lights ( ie. sunshine ) of Hawkes Bay. He is with us until the end of the year, which gives us a little time to get used to the shock. As a staunch advocate of our part 2 candidates, his departure will certainly leave the scheduling inbox a little emptier. I am also heading away, but just up to Auckland for the weekend. Need to check up on my Mum, who has somehow turned into a frail little old lady while I wasn’t looking. It’s taken her by surprise, too. Oh well; as we Latin scholars like to say: “Tempus Fugit“ ( hoping I’ve spelled that right or I’ll look a real dick ).

Have a lovely weekend, everybody. The days are getting longer and warmer: Summer’s on it’s way!

Kirsty.
