Well played, sir!

Simon got revenge for his infamous historical ballet snub by trouncing his daughter at billiards yesterday. Unfortunately he wasn’t quite so successful playing one of the Selwyn boys this afternoon. His plan to rest on his laurels by avoiding any further matches appears in retrospect to have been a sensible stratagem. The game was in the balance for a while – there was a possibility that either of them may have been pantsed. I think the youth he was playing might have been in the Selwyn ballet last night? In which case, I’m grateful we were all spared the potential for distressing flashbacks.
