Facebook seems to want to persuade me I have memories to look back on virtually every single day. It’s as if it’s trying desperately to show how relevant it still is, ‘Look! Look how well we know you, we’re not the bad guys, we’re your friend, love us!’ Sad, really. Alternatively, they’ve figured out my memory does need a bit of assistance now and then – but if that was the case, can I suggest the sort of memories like “this is where you left your keys” and “don’t forget the milk” would be far more useful than a selfie of me on holiday four years ago?
