Language can be so important. For example “my colleague is just going to give little Tommy a tight hug while I administer this mild sedative nasally” is likely to be far more acceptable than “we’re going to pin him down while I squirt this midazolam up his nose”. Apparently mother and child all very happy – once again anaesthesia saves the day.
