My second swim of the summer! And completely unplanned. Can’t remember the last time I had an impromptu swim in my undergarments, but it was so hot on my beach walk at Waikanae today that my granny pants were once again on public display. Luckily it was a NZ beach, so there were only about four people in a 500 metre radius. I did hear one child say “look at that lady! She’s…” but unfortunately I didn’t hear the rest of her sentence as her older sibling shushed her. Luckily the Dad was too busy playing on his phone to be paying any of us any attention.
Tried to lend my daughter a pair of togs for her crate/pool party today: “look at that old Hollywood glamour!” I said of the black one piece with fetching white ribbon detailing. Sadly, she wasn’t interested. I’m surprised actually how many of my old clothes all the girls wear. Is it because classic styling never goes out of fashion? Or is it because I never get around to going shopping with them for new stuff?
