Two lots of personal feedback today. First was from the Airbnb I stayed at in Montpellier.
Must say, I was a bit cut about this one. “We regret the apartment was not cleaned very well”!!! What did they expect? It was tidy, I did the dishes, OK I didn’t mop the floor but where was the mop hiding anyway? Very unreasonable. However, all is forgiven because they described me as a “jeune femme” ahem.
The next was from the Professor. I wrote to him yesterday during a moment of boredom – a very detailed and well considered email, describing my experiences in his department, comments on the management of stroke patients by the anaesthetic team, and also feedback on the conference he organized last month in Nice. Here was his reply:
Well, it was very positive anyway. And maybe we will see him in Wnew Zèlande sometime in the future. Then I can show him how his and hers changing rooms work. Although, on the other hand, in an earlier conversation he said New Zealand was very much like France – with “mountains and sea and stuff” which is hard to argue with. Difficult to make the case for coming all this way then!
