Here is a praying mantis eating some sort of enormous hapless bug. Be glad the picture doesn’t move a la Harry Potter, because the victim was struggling mightily even though half its head was eaten off. From memory there were also crunching noises (but at least no “Help me! Help me!”). I have a short video which I will post separately, Fiona.
This tree and many other tall things all around for miles were covered in small white dried up snail-like things. No idea what they are but we’re due some rain this week so if they come back to life and come after us I will let you know. (I presume I will have time, surely zombie snails will move even slower than ordinary ones?)
