In which we visit Highgate Cemetary

Jesus was more in touch with his feminine side in the old days.

Enough weeping angels to give you nightmares

Gosh, the Victorians did death well, didn’t they? Although actually, when the cemetary was first opened, it was all spick and span and tidy with small trees and well manicured gardens. It was only later when the company running it went bankrupt that it all fell into ruin and turned into the romantic ruins that you see today. Lot’s of movies filmed here over the years, including large numbers of Hammer Horrors (another staple of my childhood! Old reruns, of course).
